Participation in Junior Development League (JDL) signifies acceptance of the league’s rules, policies, and expectations. All players, coaches, club officials, referees, and spectators are expected to contribute to a safe, respectful, and development-focused environment.

Expectations

• Prioritize player safety, development, learning, and sportsmanship.
• Create a positive playing environment where players are encouraged to learn, make mistakes, and develop without fear of criticism or intimidation.
• Treat players, coaches, opponents, referees, and spectators with respect. JDL has zero tolerance for verbal abuse, harassment, intimidation, or threatening behavior.
• Demonstrate professionalism and integrity on and off the field.
• Respect team and club boundaries. JDL is a development-focused playing environment and should not be used as an opportunity to recruit players from other participating teams or clubs.
• Support referees and their development. Concerns regarding officiating should be addressed through the appropriate league channels, not directed at referees during or after matches.
• Follow all JDL rules, policies, and Elite 90 Soccer facility guidelines.
• Help maintain a safe, positive environment by reporting safety or conduct concerns to JDL staff.

JDL reserves the right to modify, delay, suspend, or cancel matches if conditions are deemed unsafe or if circumstances prevent play from being conducted safely. Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, suspension, or removal from JDL activities.
